Circular Economy in Building and Construction
from Information Gaps to Profitable Business

The workshop deals with information management in a circular built environment. Good practices and recent development of frontrunning European actors are shared covering the whole life cycle of buildings linking the business ecosystem to support circularity in the built environment. Business opportunities using circular loops in the process with BIM, green deals and prospects of sharing economy in neighborhoods are debated.


This Workshop is part of series of events aiming to compile a global report on circular economy in built environment.  Results are shared from a Circularity in the Built Environment Networking Event held in World Urban Forum in Kuala Lumpur in February 2018. The approach of the Circular Economy Working Group in the UN One Planet Network SBC Programme is explained collecting good examples also from the Global South and plans to form a global repository of circularity in buildings and construction.


The outcome of this interactive Workshop serves directing the future activities of the SBC Programme that is willing to extend still its collaboration expert network for collective impact.
