Goal of the conference

With its theme Extending the Service Life of Bridges the conference addresses topical ques-tions in Nordic bridge maintenance. These include assessing and rehabilitating aging bridges for the present and new traffic loads. Special reference is made to alkali-reactions in concrete that has in some onsets found to deteriorate structures quickly.

The conference is continuation of the annual bridge conference series arranged by the NVF Bridges Technical Committee. It allows Nordic and Baltic bridge experts to network and share expertise in issues specific to the Nordic bridge stock, geographical area and bridge management routines.
