Giovanna Brasfield (Dr. G), CEO and Principal Consultant for Brasfield & Associates, LLC is an award-winning diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) advocate with over 19 years of experience in construction focusing on executive leadership reporting, project inclusivity monitoring, DEIA program development, training, education, charitable giving/social impact and outreach for the construction industry and construction-related trades. Dr. G drives organizations to go beyond DEIA talk by taking actionable steps to create culturally diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces and workspaces.
Dr. G holds two doctorate degrees from the University of La Verne, a D.P.A. in Public Administration and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership. For Board of Director and Steering Committee service, Dr. G serves as Past-Chair of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Steering Committee, on the Board of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California’s Construction Education Foundation (CEF), on the AGC of America Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee, Chair of the Steering Committee for RAND Foundation’s Center to Advance Racial Equity Policy (CAREP), on the Board of Directors for the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) – Los Angeles Chapter, and on the Board of Directors for West Angeles Community Development Corporation (CDC).
Dr. G has received many accolades, awards, and recommendations for her accomplishments. Some of the recent recognition received for her work includes being named 2023 Comerica Bank’s Women Business Award recipient, 2023 Associated General Contractor (AGC) of California – Associate Achievement of the Year, and 2022 Women of Empowerment by the YWCA Glendale-Pasadena Chapter.

Paul is an RSS (Royal Statistical Society) Certified ISO 18404 Lean Expert, Head of Lean Deployment at SMP (Smart Motorway Programme) Alliance using ISO 18404 as the model for Lean Transformation, Technical Director and Lean Coach at WSP in the UK, and PhD Researcher at Nottingham Trent University. He has 28 years of construction experience in a wide variety of roles including trade, supervision, management and consultancy. Paul is passionate about developing and deploying lean production systems using action research and design science methodologies and is a regular speaker at conferences including annual IGLC (International Group for Lean Construction). In his spare time he enjoys (watching) sport, exercise and an occasional beer.

Ilkka serves as global Continual Improvement director at KONE. KONE is a global leader on elevator and escalators, and related services and lifecycle management. KONE has ongoing journey to develop and practice lean and lean six sigma methods and capabilities across company, “Lean KONE” being one of ongoing strategic development programs. Ilkka has been leading this and other quality development programs since 2019. Before this Ilkka was working for 20 years at ABB at various local and global leadership and development roles, mainly in area of power electronics.

Ennen nykyistä tehtäväänsä Jukka on toiminut Toyotalla eri myynnin ja jälkimarkkinoinnin johtotehtävissä yhteensä yli kahden vuosikymmenen ajan. Pitkä kokemus logistiikka-alalta ja yhteensä yli kahden vuosikymmenen kokemus Toyota Way -arvojen mukaisesta ihmisten johtamisesta Toyota-perheessä ovat tarjonneet ainutlaatuisen mahdollisuuden oppia ymmärtämään lean-periaatteita ja niiden hyödyntämistä käytännössä.
Jukan vankka ammattitaito yhdistettynä hänen innostukseensa ihmisten osaamisen kehittämiseen on toteutunut korkeana asiakaskokemuksen laatuna. Hän on käynyt läpi useita Toyota-koulutusohjelmia, joissa on perehtynyt syvällisesti lean-ajatteluun ja sen soveltamiseen henkilöstön kehittämisessä. "Hyvinvoinnin merkitys henkisellä ja fyysisellä tasolla"
Hyvinvoinnin merkitys on moniulotteinen käsite, joka kattaa sekä henkisen että fyysisen hyvinvoinnin. Henkinen hyvinvointi liittyy mielen tasapainoon, tunteiden hallintaan ja elämäntarkoitukseen, kun taas fyysinen hyvinvointi koskee terveyttä, liikuntaa ja ravitsemusta. Dome Karukoski on kahdesti Jussi-palkittu elokuvaohjaaja, vaikuttava tarinankertoja sekä vangitseva ja karismaattinen esiintyjä. Sen lisäksi, että hän on elokuvaohjaaja, on hän liikemies. Kaikista hänen kokemuksistaan elokuvamaailmasta, on verrattavissa täysin yrityksien ja tiimien johtamiseen. Domen ensimmäinen Hollywood-tuotanto Tolkien sai ensi-iltansa vuonna 2019. Se on yhdysvaltalainen elämäkerrallinen draamaelokuva, joka kertoo englantilaiskirjailija J. R. R. Tolkienista.
Karukoski on ohjannut elokuvat Tyttö sinä olet tähti, Tummien perhosten koti, Kielletty hedelmä, Napapiirin sankarit, Leijonasydän, Mielensäpahoittaja ja Tom of Finland. Häneltä luontuvat niin draamat kuin vaivattomat komediat.

Matt Kitzmiller
Rosendin Electric, USA
Matt began his career as an electrician in California 23 years ago. Upon graduating from the IBEW, (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) apprenticeship in Phoenix, he immediately began accepting unorthodox positions that diversified his skillset in the electrical industry. Matt has worked in 3D modeling and MEP coordination, electrical manufacturing, several large data center projects, water treatment plants, semi-conductor plants, and the list goes on. In 2012, Matt accepted a part-time, (evening) lab instructor at the IBEW apprenticeship, and he continued to instruct there for 9 years. While teaching at the apprenticeship school, Matt developed a love for teaching, and found his way to the Learning and Development department at Rosendin Electric in 2018. At the L&D department, he uses lean practices to help shape and reshape policies and standards. He delivers training to both office and field employees. Matt teaches technical electrical curriculum, soft skills, leadership classes, and he uses the Strengthsfinder assessment to present Core Clarity, to Rosendin employees-several times per month. Matt’s primary goal as an employee is to help others achieve their goals, while performing with a high level of happiness and success at home and in the workplace.
Henry Nutt III
Preconstruction Executive, Southland Industries, USA

Henry currently serves as the Preconstruction Executive for Southland Industries, after serving as the Sheet Metal General Superintendent for over 12 years. He is responsible for developing business with new clients and supporting preconstruction efforts for new projects. He has been a member of Local 104 Sheet Metal Workers in Northern California since 1987.
Henry is the current Chair for Lean Construction Institute’s (LCI) Board of Directors and has been a Lean Champion for Southland for 15 years. He currently leads a LCI task force designed to encourage the adoption of Lean practices and continuous improvement for Trade Partners, through the development of a new YouTube channel called the Field Crew Huddle. Henry was the 2018 recipient of the prestigious LCI’s Pioneer Award.
Henry currently sits on the Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGCA) Board of Directors and is their current Chair for the Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee, which he has served on since its inception in 2016. He is also a State Board member for AGC CA.
As the Sheet Metal General Superintendent for Southland, Henry was responsible for over 200 Sheet Metal Workers during his tenure and led Lean implementations on projects throughout Northern California on Southland projects.
Henry is the author of a recently published book called, Seven Principles: Creating Your Success in the Construction Industry, which is designed to help the new-to-the-industry folks successfully navigate through their careers and bring impactful awareness to the more seasoned veterans, which will promote a better outcome for new construction professionals.
Stephen Williams
Senior Lean Expert, National Highways, UK

Stephen is an RSS (Royal Statistical Society) Certified ISO 18404 Lean Leader and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). With over 40 years of civil engineering experience in both private and public sectors, Stephen is a valued member of the National Highways Lean Team, where he is responsible for auditing, building Lean capability, and delivering business improvement. In 2023 Stephen led an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) research and investigation project. The learning from this work is being fed back into National Highways and is influencing strategic lean deployment objectives. Believing that a good work life balance as an important ingredient for wellbeing, Stephen loves playing music, mountain biking and family life.
