Tampere Hall is Scandinavia’s largest Congress and Concert Centre. It is located close to the city centre, only 500 metres from the railway and bus stations. Most of Tampere’s hotels are within 5 to 15 minute walk from the venue. Tampere Hall’s state-of-the-art facilities have been carefully designed to create an exciting, modern and dynamic venue for concerts, conferences, congresses and exhibitions. Since opening its doors in 1990, Tampere Hall has hosted a great number of international congresses and world-class music performances.

City of Tampere

Tampere is the third largest city in Finland and the largest inland centre in the Nordic countries. Currently there are over 220,000 inhabitants in Tampere, and more than half a million inhabitants in Tampere Region, which comprises Tampere and its neighbouring municipalities. Tampere’s city centre is surrounded by lake and ridge scenery, sited on an isthmus between lakes Pyhäjärvi and Näsijärvi. The Tammerkoski rapids run through the city. Tampere is a significant centre of education and research. The University of Tampere has 15,000 students, the Tampere University of Technology has 10,500 students and the Tampere University of Applied Sciences has 10 000 students. The teachers and researchers at these universities as well as in the numerous research institutes provide new information and knowhow for science, business and industry.

Things to experience in Tampere

Tampere Art Museum Moominvalley is a museum devoted to original works by writer and artist Tove Jansson. Its unique collections comprise around 2000 works.
